Hey Guys.. in case u ppl are wondering why suddenly i am like so inactive in blogging or msn, its coz i am now undergoing a mission trip from the 20th march to 1st april..
well.. no time to talk abt it so i'll just have to paste a posting on my crusade yahoo grps by another teammate,, not disclosing the persons name though..
Thanks for praying for the Project MIB (Missions In Our Backyard) team! It has
been an eventful week of Project for the past 1 week! Our team of 4 Singapore Polytechnic students and a staff (Jason, Daniel, Bing Hao, Winnie and Angela) have been enjoying ourselves tremendously laughing and joking…while planning and running English Conversational Classes (ESC) using GIG material topics along with additional games and activities for students to practice their English :)
A total of 25 China students (Future nursing students now, studying English)
have came regularly for our ESC so far as we discussed on the topic of Purpose
in life and Friendship. We have had very good time of interaction along with
some thoughts from the Bible to leave with them to ponder. It is very
relational! One exciting thanksgiving was last Friday, 24 March, where we
invited and brought 42 China students from NYP to NTU for a Chinese
Evangelistic Concert by a Taiwan Christian band – Music Stone. Thank God for a
time of sharing about the meaning of life and the Gospel's proclaimed! Some
prayed and received Christ while I believe many of them might have heard the
Gospel before through their Christian mentors and God loves them very
passionately as He pursues these Chinese students in all possible ways. We
believe that in His perfect timing, many will come to Christ in His own ways.
We have also been helping out at local Southern Cross distribution of
Christian materials, bibles, and Jesus VCD to China tourists at Esplanade
Park… indeed, Missions In Our Backyard!
In summary, our prayer is to: Do God's Will, God's Way! :)
Pray for us as we prepare the next two topics and for our ESC from Wed-
Friday: Why Worry? and 'All for Love'. Please continue to pray along with us
for the salvation of these Chinese students as they will begin their 3 years
in Nursing. Our staff Winnie looks forward to share testimony and the Gospel during our Special Movie evening this Friday. Winnie wants to challenge them and tie in what we have discussed in the past two weeks of ESC about how God had made them for a special purpose, wants to be their special friend and cares and loves them
deeply. She will be sharing about how God brought Christopher through his
illness as a link from the Chinese movie (Life is a Miracle starring Chen Song
Ling) we are screening this Friday. (It's about how we can have true hope even
in the midst of pain and suffering and how we can still continue to impact
lives) – A challenge for these nurses-to-be to have a great sense of mission
as they embark on their nursing study and career.
I am personally very excited! Thanks for praying!!! May God's love continue to
bind our team in harmony and peace and Joy! Really indeed, it was by God's grace we can do all these. Pray that we will continue to lead a Spirit-filled life.
